Abbey Road by The Beatles
The Greatest Band's Last Recorded Album
The Beatles are without question the most influential music group of all-time. The roots of every rock/pop/punk/metal band in the 21st century owe their style of music in some way to Britain's Fab Four.
Abbey Road, bittersweet in that it is the band's finale, it does not disappoint, nor lack every element of the Beatle's style. From the bluesy, Chuck Berry-esque groove of "Come Together" to the quirky, country of "Octopus' Garden" and the conceptual medley of the B-side. Abbey Road is an album of bests.
So forget iPods or CDs, this work of art should only be listened to as God-intended: eyes-closed, in one sitting with the record spinning.
